Artist Statement

Living color. That is what my life is about. Dyeing cloth puts color in tactile form. Arranging one color against the next causes visceral reactions for me. It is an emotional push and pull. Color sets up the excitement; shape and line and symbol set up the meaning. The stitching of seams, the quilting of layers set up the meditation. I love every part of the process.
