The Rainbow Connection

a double rainbow

I am in between trips, having just returned from Utah, and leaving shortly for Tennessee. It was a return trip for me to the wonderful Utah Surface Design Group, so I got to see some familiar faces and meet new friends too. The Dyeing to Discharge class was held in a spectacular setting in the Heber Valley. DTD-UtahSunflowers640WWWe had wonderful sunny days, and dramatic thunderstorms, and finished the week with a double rainbow so expansive I could see both ends! Spectacular!

There were so many wonderful pieces of cloth produced, but most of the time I was too busy to catch the goings-on with my camera. Here are a few of the scenes I did catch.

Some of the students have blogged about the week, so to see what Bev has to say, check here.

Lisa has also been writing–here, here, here, and here.

Thanks again to the Utah surface designers for inviting me to your gorgeous corner of the world.

This looks like such a fun class; one of these days, you’ll see me showing up int he roster! What an awesome location, too, wow. I find it so restful and inspiring to be in settings like that!

It was a wonderful week! I learned so much Carol that my brain is still trying to comprehend it all! Hope you have a great time on your next trip!

Wish I could have been there – Timmy’s studio is a fabulous place for a workshop! I did get to see some of Lisa’s fabrics and photos of others. Very inspiring!
